What the structure does

  • Centre-back vent opens 42 cm up from the hem.
  • Fully lined so the coat slides over what is underneath.
  • Front hem cut shorter than the back.
  • Front zip with a fabric tab.

Where it stops working

  • A long coat is heavy to get onto a second arm. This one usually needs help.
  • The vent stops fabric bunching but the coat still sits under you at the seat.

Closing force on this item

    Pulls together on its own from about 8 mm apart. A finger and a thumb are enough.

    Holds under a coat or a lap belt. Separating it takes a deliberate pull.

Seated measurements — jackets and coats

These are seated measurements. They are not the same as a standing size chart, so please measure rather than assume. If you are between two sizes, tell us and we will say which one we would send.

Seated chest
Sitting upright and wearing what you would wear underneath, measure right round the fullest part of the chest.
Seated back length
Sitting upright, measure down the spine from the bone at the base of the neck to the seat of the chair.
Front length
Sitting down, measure from the shoulder down the front to where the hem should stop. On this line the front is cut shorter than the back on purpose.
