What the structure does

  • Zips run the full length of both outer seams, from waistband to hem.
  • Both zips carry an oversized loop pull, 38 mm across.
  • With both zips open the trousers lie completely flat.
  • Back rise raised, front rise shortened, same as the rest of this line.

Where it stops working

  • Starting a zip still needs the two halves lined up at the bottom. That part is the fiddliest and takes some practice.
  • The zip pull is large, but a firm grip is still needed to run it the full length.

    Pulls together on its own from about 8 mm apart. A finger and a thumb are enough.

    Holds under a coat or a lap belt. Separating it takes a deliberate pull.

Seated measurements — trousers and skirts

These are seated measurements. They are not the same as a standing size chart, so please measure rather than assume. If you are between two sizes, tell us and we will say which one we would send.

Seated waist
Sitting down, measure right round the body where the waistband will actually sit. This is usually larger than a standing waist.
Seated hip
Sitting down, measure round the widest part of the hips and the seat, keeping the tape level.
Seated inseam
Sitting with the knee bent, measure from the crease at the top of the inner thigh down to the ankle bone.
