You can report a fault for three years from delivery. For the first two years, if something is wrong, we have to show it was not faulty when you got it. Faults and complaints.

What the structure does

  • Left side seam opens from hem to cuff.
  • Closed with three flat cotton tapes along the open edge.
  • Half the garment lays flat with the side open.
  • Back hem extended so it stays down when seated.

Where it stops working

  • Three tapes have to be tied. That usually needs two hands, and often a second pair of hands.
  • Only one side opens, so the right arm still goes into a sleeve.

Closing force on this item

  • Light

    Pulls together on its own from about 8 mm apart. A finger and a thumb are enough.

  • Medium — this item

    Holds under a coat or a lap belt. Separating it takes a deliberate pull.

  • Two hands

    One hand holds the fabric while the other works the closure. We mark these clearly.

These are seated measurements. They are not the same as a standing size chart, so please measure rather than assume. If you are between two sizes, tell us and we will say which one we would send.

Seated chest
Sitting upright, measure right round the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level under the arms.
Seated back length
Sitting upright, measure down the spine from the bone at the base of the neck to the seat of the chair.
Sleeve length
With the elbow bent as it rests, measure from the shoulder point along the outside of the arm to the wrist.
