What the structure does

  • Waistband closes on a 60 mm magnetic panel with a wide catch area.
  • The wide panel means the two halves do not need precise alignment.
  • Back rise raised, front rise shortened.
  • No button, no hook, no rigid facing.

Where it stops working

  • The waistband closes easily, but the trousers still have to be drawn up the hips first.
  • Nothing on this item opens down its length.

    Pulls together on its own from about 8 mm apart. A finger and a thumb are enough.

    Holds under a coat or a lap belt. Separating it takes a deliberate pull.

Close every magnetic fastener before washing. Wash at 40 °C or below and do not iron over a magnet. Keep the garment away from cards with magnetic stripes, hearing aids and other small electronic devices while it is being washed and dried.

Seated measurements — trousers and skirts

These are seated measurements. They are not the same as a standing size chart, so please measure rather than assume. If you are between two sizes, tell us and we will say which one we would send.

Seated waist
Sitting down, measure right round the body where the waistband will actually sit. This is usually larger than a standing waist.
Seated hip
Sitting down, measure round the widest part of the hips and the seat, keeping the tape level.
Seated inseam
Sitting with the knee bent, measure from the crease at the top of the inner thigh down to the ankle bone.
